National Orders
National orders constitute the highest honorary distinctions of the Republic of the Congo. They express the solemn recognition of the State for exceptional services rendered to the Nation in civil, military, cultural, scientific, economic or social fields.
Placed under the authority of the President of the Republic, Grand Master of the National Orders, national orders follow statutes and regulations that establish their organization, ranks and award procedures.
The Grande Chancellerie des Ordres Nationaux is responsible for the administration of national orders. It ensures compliance with procedures, the regularity of nominations and promotions, as well as the conservation of insignia and corresponding archives.
National orders participate in building the honorific memory of the Republic and contribute to the transmission of values of merit, loyalty and public service.
