Honorary Distinctions

Honorary distinctions encompass all rewards granted by the Republic of the Congo to recognize particular merits or services rendered to the Nation outside the strict framework of national orders.

They may be awarded to individuals or legal entities, Congolese or foreign, in accordance with the texts that define their scope and conditions of attribution.

The management of honorary distinctions falls under the competence of the Grande Chancellerie des Ordres Nationaux, which handles administrative processing, archive conservation and institutional monitoring.

Through their diversity, honorary distinctions complement the national honorific system and contribute to promoting commitment, loyalty and merit in service to the Republic.
